Please provide a description of your research and innovation project in relation to the wider context of scientific research and conceptual developments in the fields of engineering, technology and/or organisational processes overview of the innovation, relation to other previous and present research activities, projects and international developments.
Please provide a description of demonstration phase concerning your research and innovation project as well as give details on where and how the results of the research and innovation have been implemented by a member of the Rail Operation Community/ member of the UIC - International Union of Railways within their technological or organisational process, having proven their efficiency, and having made (or proven reasonably likely to make) a significant contribution to the development of the rail sector, and clearly enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of rail transport.
Applicants are invited to provide any additional supporting information they may wish to add as background information:
- Information and documentation regarding your research and innovation project
- Information on how the success of the innovation has resulted in additional investment or continued investment in the innovation or similar transport activities or has spread to other operations
- Information about other organisations interested in implementing the results of your project
- Publicity or press regarding the innovation
Any other information you may deem relevant for the application and nomination for the Award.
The prize for the winner in each category consists of:
- Certificate signed by the UIC Chairman, the UIC Director General and the IRBB Chairman
- Material prize and financial reward
- Invitation to participate in the UIC Innovation Awards ceremony including the reimbursement of travel costs and accommodation
